Love this yogurt! The last brand new container I bought had a few strands of dark hair in it when I opened it. Very odd. Haven't seen this as in issue in past reviews so I'm assuming this doesn't happen often but it definite grossed us out!
The product sometimes tastes as a very good sheep yogurt and sometime it taste like cow yogurt and some times it is a mix of sheep and cow milk / yogurt with 5% MF. When OVINO sell sheep yogurt product they should always keep it this way. I grew up consuming sheep milk and sheep yogurt and I can easily know the difference from cow yogurt.
Their yogurt has started to show up at Costco, very creamy, tasty yogurt. I use the plain yogurt to make vegetable dips and they have a vanilla flavored yogurt too. This is sheep's milk yogurt which is actually good for people who need lactose free products. I would definitely recommend.
Two weeks ago, my brother bought me your plain yogurt at Costco, advising me to try it because I wouldn't be disappointed. I was kind of skeptical, as I stopped buying any plain yogurt years ago, except kefir. What a surprise! It reminds me of the Icelandic skyr, and it's the only one so far I like ,which I can t find in Canada . In fact your yogourt, I used it as a substitute for cheese in some recipes because it's so good with creamy texture, is just Delicious. It takes me back to my childhood. Thank you for reconciling me with plain yogurt. I hope you ll add another product like kefir , that would be the icing on the cake.
PLEASE continue to sell your excellent products at stores such as Costco! We love your sheep yogurt especially. Nothing compares to the richness and integrity of the pure ingredients. OVINO is amazing and you have so many silent fans!
I used your yogurt purchased from Freshco in Simcoe County area. This is the best yogurt I have ever had in Canada. Amazing texture, taste and quality. Price is right. I would love to visit your farm and promote your business in the community!!
I would love to visit your farm. Your products are delicious and nutritious. Personally, I don't think I've ever tried such high quality sheep yogurt and kefir. In fact my first 20 years of my life I spend growing up in Central Europe in the heart of Mountains where sheep where part of our every day life. You are truly an expert in running this great farm. Keep up great job and thank you for giving us these wonderful locally made products.
